3: FLUORESCENT FLOWERS

Learning target:
I can use a variety of clay techniques to create a 3D piece of artwork.

Third graders studied Form.   Form is one of the Elements of Art.  Then they explored three different clay techniques
to construct their flowers.  Slab method, rolling or pressing clay into a pancake like shape.  Coil method, rolling clay into a cylinder  and then forming it with the fingers.  Pinch pot method,  rolling the clay into a sphere then pressing a thumb into it and pinch the clay while working a circular motion to the top.   Students explored clay techniques to create these lovely fluorescent flowers.
